Shaver series 5000Wet and dry electric shaver

Received as Christmas present from my fiancée. For me it is a delight to use. I suffer from psoriatic arthritis and when using electric shavers/ tooth brushes etc the vibrations cause me a lot of discomfort. When I first switched this on after first charge and started to use it, I thought it had not fully charged. It is so quite and the vibrations are at least 80/90% less then my old electric shaver. Nice smooth shave, easy to use and clean. Highly recommend you buy and try.

Can't really fault this product, it's certainly the best wet/dry shaver I've ever had

I have had the shaver for about 1 month as the push button on my previous shaver - equivalent Philips model broke. This model does not have some of the features of 5000 series bought about 3-4 years ago. It lacks an indicator to show the amount of charge in the battery. It only shows up when nearly empty. takes 8 hours for a full charge

The shave quality is good, BUT: I've had it just over two years and the head keeps falling off, to the extent that I now have to be very careful at what angle I use it at. This is a design fault. Also badly designed is the on-off switch. It's a button placed exactly where I want to put my thumb when shaving! I feel let down by Philips. Having used a Philishave for 30 years previously this one has only lasted just over 2 years. Very poor design.
